MACHEDA WILL MOVE ON

After failing to establish in the first team yet again this season, it looks highly likely that the Manchester United striker Federico Macheda will be moving to another club in the January transfer window.

His agent recently confirmed the same by saying that the lack of first-team opportunities mean that it is not viable for his client to spend any more time at Manchester United.

It is thought that Federico Macheda will be interested in a loan deal till the end of the season once the January transfer window opens. His agent, though, has ruled out the possibility of his client moving to Italy – most fans are betting on premier league clubs showing the most interest in Kiko.

Federico Macheda was one of the standout players for Manchester United three years ago when he came off from the bench to score crucial goals against Sunderland and Aston Villa. However, he has struggled to replicate the form since then. He has managed just five goals in the last 33 appearances for United.

Further, the presence of players like Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, and Hernandez ahead of him in the pecking order means that he is highly unlikely to get games in the season. As a result, the 21-year-old will seek a move in January according to his agent.

“Federico at this time is not finding space, and so it is clear that in January he will go away. But I don’t think he’ll be back again in Italy because usually in January clubs are looking for players that are already ready, unless there are teams with a quiet standing which want to do long-term projects with him,” said Federico Macheda’s agent in a recent interview. The Italian has spent the last few seasons on loan at Sampdoria and QPR, but has failed to make any impact at both these clubs in the past.
